Description
If there's a time that people particularly need access to good health care and health insurance, it's during a global pandemic.
Employer plans cover about half the U.S. population, according to the Commonwealth Fund, a private foundation that supports health-care issues. But in the U.S. over 45 million people so far have had to file for unemployment benefits. An analysis from the Kaiser Family Foundation published May13th estimates that 27 million people had recently lost their health coverage.
Health insurance is complicated and signing up can be hard. Let alone trying to get in front of a doctor these days.
